SPORT O' THE MONTH

We spent Valentine's Day at Yulia's double header basketball games.

She's playing with the YMCA's 5th and 6th grade girls and seems to be enjoying basketball more than other sports she's tried. She and Paul have been working on dribbling and she finally put her practice into play Saturday. It was an exciting time. The ball rebounded to her and she had an open court and was forced to dribble. She did pretty well! Actually took a shot in the second game!

We lost both games with exciting scores of 10-30 and 12-14. Yes, we were on the edges of our seats.

Always at the ready!

If we could only teach her not to play defense when she's on offense and offense when she's on defense.

Thought I turned this picture sideways. Oh, well.

Houston Aunts

Debbie and I flew to Houston for a quick visit with my mother's two sisters and families.

Cousin David, sporting his AARP card! I've a few more years to go before I'm eligible for this prestigious honor.

SPEECH QUEENS UNITE IN MISSOURI!

Fellow speech queen, Marlene Bedeiree, and her lovely daughter Sarah flew in to visit over the weekend. We had a great time!

Here we are going up in a pod at the St. Louis Arch.
No trip here would be complete without a visit to the wineries.
We were in the stonehouse at the winery and this sign said, "Do not touch fireplace." So, of course, Paul Barry set her up on the mantle of the fireplace, while holding the sign. Very important to follow the rules, you know.

SNOW EVERYWHERE!

Uncle Chuck in Lake Tahoe
Uncle James
Never fails. When Paul Barry goes skiing, we get snow or ice(wherever we're living.) While he was in Lake Tahoe, we got 4-6 inches in Missouri. Yulia was out of school 2 days
